NKOTB new cd “The Block” would make a great gift for Christmas. I bought it recently and am surprised that the New Kids have managed to make their new music be current yet not disappoint fans. The only disappointment I have about their cd is that most of the songs sound alike. I absolutely love “Single” and “Dirty Dancing” is rather catchy. “Summertime” was the group’s first release. Good choice considering the other songs would not have been as good of an introduction to the groups fans to their music. “Summertime” is different than the rest of the cd. It is an ok song but “Single” outshines them all. They can do without Ne-Yo and use Joey’s voice instead. Ne-Yo has a nasal sound to his voice that I didn’t notice until it is up against Joe’s voice.

If thinking of a gift for a girl in her teens or even an older New Kids fan this cd would be perfect. I bought for me for Christmas and am enjoying it each day.
